Born in 1977 at the former City of Angels Medical Center in Los Angeles, John Londoño’s explicit artistic experiences began on the streets of a then shadow cast Silver Lake. For twenty years Londoño held true to his roots in the Little Cuba neighborhood where he tattooed and painted graffiti.
Welcomed into the film and television industry as a painter, Londoño’s disciplined knowledge was quickly recognized by an elite crowd. His exposure to the technical requirements and experimentation with materials have founded his artist style.
Known for his work on the sets of Sympathy for Delicious, Project Runway and Gorburger, his dreams of a safer and more diverse culture grew alongside his art. Today, Londoño’s paintings have been featured in films and television shows including Californication, Kevin Hart’s Real Husband’s of Hollywood, Couples Therapy VH1, MTV’s Nellyville and Aquarius.
Beyond his exposure in commercials and web series, his work resides in the corporate inventory of the legendary set design firm All Sets. Londoño’s art is held in the private collections of Jim Fox, Patricia Molla, Erica Coakley, Auggie Plotquin and Nick Plotquin.
