Entering the infrequently special territory of helping an artist truly launch their career, this shoot required diving into Mesplé's world headfirst – a place where fire transforms metal, electricity controls fluid and electromagnets are, of course, made by hand.
Documenting Mesplé's work, his techniques and processes required film to peer more deeply into his creative mind and vivid imagination. House of Wren produced Moving Metal, a short by Eric Minh Swenson.
The project endured years, requiring logo design, website and general management. At the onset, Mesplé had merely 900 followers, he has since garnered the attention of more than 50k. House of Wren supported the artist through debut international media exposure including Scope Miami Art Basel, The Culture Trip, BYUtv, Wired Magazine and more.
Lead photography session in collaboration with Jeremy Deputat. Business cards hand letterpressed by House of Wren.
